DeLorean Transmission leak
So, after resealing the selector connector with an O-ring that wasn’t present (oops, forgot that!) and resealing the pan (plenty of silicone!) I drove my Delorean home after watching it run for an hour with NO LEAKS! I HAD to have this running for the 2012 Indianapolis Motor Speedway Run around the track. I got home, shut off the Delorean, and got out to get the mail. Upon my return, THIS WAS HAPPENING!!! Ahhh!!!! I was supposed to leave for Indy in 3 hours!!!! I decided to trailer the Delorean to Indy , and run the 500 anyway. Took 5 quarts of Tranny fluid with me just in case! Made it!

Is this an auto trans? I can’t tell, but it looks like I have a similar leak on my auto and Ken K told me to leave it alone or i’d make it worse =/ Maybe talk to him or Dave at DMCMW? Best of luck sorting this out!

Cruising Ocean City

BAD BAD BAD!

If in the off chance you ever see a DMC being towed backwards like this, tell the driver to take the car off and reload it front forward! I’ve seen many a car where the wind catches under the rear louvers, lifts it up and either rips it off the car or does considerable damage to the roof T panel!
